Today was a sad day for us...we took Paul and Bekah up to Charles de Gaule and had to say goodbye to wonderful co-workers and great friends. We had time to make a couple of fun stops on the way up to Paris, this is in the very charming town of Vézelay. Love you guys!

Fancy shmancy dinner out on the town to thank Paul, Bekah and Anna for all their awesome work at the Château. Love this team, and going to miss them so much!

Another creative dessert by Anna: dark chocolate bread puddings, served with sesame crunchies (for lack of a better term) and caramel-butter frosting. I love seeing what she's going to come up with!

I never cease to be surprised by France: who knew country line dancing was a thing here? We had an "artistic day" here at the Château, and this was one of the workshops.

We had a fabulous day in Lyon, visiting the Klopps, watching The Hunger Games (in English!), and having a surprise birthday party for Bekah (complete with an amazing chocolate and peanut-butter cake made by Pam!).

It's so fun having Pam here at the Château again...peeling pears in the kitchen, just like old times!

The hotel we stayed in had really sweet flowered fabric on the walls, and since they almost perfectly matched my p.j.'s I just had to do a Steve Martin Pink Panther impersonation.

Friends took us up to a little Romanesque chapel on a hill outside of their town, celebrated for its well-preserved frescoes.

We went to our co-worker, Paul's, soccer game this afternoon. I just love how silly people can look in freeze-frame. (And then again some of us look pretty silly even when we're trying to look good---this photo beat out a nice smiley portrait of Jay and I at the game, because we just looked way too dorky to post online).
